Car performance deals mainly with the engine, powertrain, and suspension.
Let’s start with the powertrain which is the best part of this stylish SUV. What makes it special is that it uses a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 sourced from Ferrari. The engine is an absolute firecracker even though there is a little diminutive displacement. The engine practically punches far above its weight class, producing an amazing 590 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque.
The overall performance is enhanced by a smooth and highly responsive 8-speed automatic transmission. As for fuel consumption, the vehicle is rated at 15, meaning it is quite fuel-efficient. Not only is the engine potent, it is silky smooth and mellifluous. Even, there is no harshness and vibration. Furthermore, the steering has a bit of heft although it is not quick or crisp.
However, there are some issues regarding the brakes. The pedal is too soft underfoot thus it becomes difficult to modulate smoothly. The car has a starchy ride quality yet not so brutally.
